Delete your data

Disconnecting Instagram, deleting workspace content and closing your sign-in account are separate actions. Choose the method that matches what you want removed. For a request you cannot complete in the dashboard, contact hey@mihirjadhav.com.

Request deletion by email or Instagram DM

Email hey@mihirjadhav.com with the subject “Delete my PopDM data”. Include the email or Instagram handle used, the Instagram account you interacted with and what you want removed. Do not include passwords, tokens or unrelated identity documents.

If you are an Instagram recipient, you can also DM the Instagram account you interacted with and ask its workspace owner to delete your conversation or captured contact details. That owner handles their copies and can contact PopDM when help is needed. For full PopDM account closure, or if the account owner cannot help, use the email above. Sending STOP pauses eligible future messages; it does not itself delete records.

We will acknowledge the request, verify it proportionately, explain any necessary retention and confirm the result. A sent email or DM alone is not confirmation that deletion has completed.

Disconnect an Instagram account

  1. Sign in to PopDM and open Instagram accounts.
  2. Choose the account and use its disconnect control.
  3. Review the result. PopDM clears its saved token and pauses the account’s automations. It attempts to revoke permission with Instagram; if Instagram is unavailable, the local connection is still disabled.

Disconnecting does not delete existing conversations, lead records or automation settings. You can also review or remove the app’s access in Instagram’s account settings. Revoking access stops future authorised use but is not the same as deleting stored workspace content.

Delete your workspace content

  1. Address the active subscription for that Instagram account first using its provider or contact support. Each Instagram account has its own workspace and subscription when paid billing is enabled; deleting one workspace does not cancel any provider subscription or affect another account’s billing.
  2. Open Settings and choose “Review workspace deletion”.
  3. Read the scope and retained-record notice, type DELETE and confirm.
  4. Wait for the result. An error or interrupted request is not confirmation of completion; contact support if the outcome is unclear.

This removes the workspace’s Instagram message history, conversations, captured leads, comments in Reply Desk, automation content and uploaded message images. Saved Instagram tokens are cleared, queued work is cancelled and private delivery content is erased. A message already submitted to Instagram cannot be recalled by this deletion.

The self-service control retains your Clerk sign-in identity, the associated account/owner identifiers, the stable Instagram ID allowance ledger, limited delivery identifiers and financial/security/audit records. Free provides 1,000 lifetime Free-tier DMs per Instagram account. The ledger survives disconnection, workspace deletion, a handle change and re-signup through another login, so the allowance does not restart. Pro-tier DMs do not consume this Free balance. Reconnecting or requesting an ownership transfer requires verified control of the Instagram account; moving between profiles does not transfer or renew an allowance. This is workspace-content deletion, not a promise that all information about you has been erased.

Request full account closure or recipient-data deletion

Email hey@mihirjadhav.com with the subject “Delete my PopDM data”. Describe what you want deleted and include the account email or Instagram handle needed to locate it. Workspace owners can include their workspace ID. Recipients should include the Instagram account they interacted with and the approximate date.

We will verify the request proportionately, explain its scope and address removal of remaining sign-in or personal account records. We will also explain any information that must remain, its purpose and the applicable retention period. Do not send passwords, tokens, bank credentials or identity documents unless a specific, necessary verification method has been agreed.

You can also ask for access, correction or withdrawal of consent. If an active subscription or sign-in problem prevents a dashboard action, contact us so it does not block review of your request.

If Instagram sent you to this page

This is PopDM’s data-deletion instruction page. Use the email or account-owner DM method above to request removal. You do not need to sign in to PopDM to email a recipient-data request. Tell us which account you interacted with so we can find the correct workspace and avoid removing another person’s records.

Copies and retained records

Previously sent messages may remain with Instagram or their recipients. Exported records held by a workspace owner and copies held by independent providers follow their own obligations. PopDM cannot directly remove those copies.

Deleted content may remain temporarily in restricted provider backups or image caches until they expire. Minimal retained records may be needed for security, request verification, usage accounting, billing or a legal obligation. They are not described as anonymous merely because message text has been removed. See the privacy policy for the current retention position and ask us about a specific exception.

Questions or complaints

Contact hey@mihirjadhav.com for support, privacy requests or complaints. PopDM is operated by Mihir Jadhav. See Contact for operator and grievance details.

Include your workspace ID or Instagram handle, the relevant date and a brief description. Send only the information needed to handle your request. Do not send passwords, account tokens, card numbers, CVVs or payment OTPs.

We aim to acknowledge requests or complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, subject to necessary verification and any shorter legal deadline. We will explain a restriction rather than treating a failed dashboard action as a completed deletion.
